IPJC Spring Benefit 2018

The Intercommunity Peace & Justice Center reflected on a speech by Pope Francis as inspiration for it’s 2018 Spring Benefit gala theme:

“Many of us, nowadays, seem to believe that a happy future is something impossible to achieve.” He continued, “The future does have a name, and its name is hope … A single individual is enough for hope to exist, and that individual can be you. And then there will be another ‘you,’ and another ‘you,’ and it turns into an ‘us.’”

IPJC requested an abstract inspirational logo that was calming, peaceful and hopeful. Inspired by a thought-bubble, I created this cloud-like design that invokes a subtle nod to Seattle’s rainy Spring seeason.

I used Myriad Pro and Minion Pro typefaces to convey this tone throughout the campaign, which included invitations, event collateral and followup materials in print and online.
